GX fiber optic sensor is a compact electronic sensing device designed to detect very small or miniature objects using light transmitted through optical fibers. It is widely used in automation, robotics, electronics assembly, and precision manufacturing where conventional sensors are too large or inaccurate.
The sensor works by sending light through an optical fiber toward the target object. When the object interrupts or reflects the light beam, the sensor detects the change in light intensity and generates an electrical signal to indicate the presence or absence of the object.
The GX series sensors are known for their small size, high precision, and fast response, making them suitable for detecting tiny components such as micro-chips, screws, electronic parts, or small mechanical objects. Some GX sensors have sensing heads as small as 34 mm in diameter, allowing installation in very limited spaces.
